Keep the Faith. A personal reflection on the first half of the
VOTF slogan, "Keep the Faith, Change the Church."

Let My People Go relates the Exodus story to church reform
and church reformers.

A New Model of the Church sees the church as a business in
a market model. And the church is losing lots of customers.

No Say, No Pay links church democratic reforms to church
contributions.

Why the Farm Smells So Bad provides a bedtime story for
church reformers. Warning: This really stinks.

Lost Dog, Tall Weeds.  The
church is like a lost dog in tall
weeds. The weeds have sprung
up from the seeds of deceit,
denial, and silence sowed by
church officials.
Our Goal. To foster common-sense, critical thinking about the
root causes of the crisis in the Catholic Church and to present
ideas for church reform that reflect the teachings of Jesus. Like
life, the site is a work in progress, so we'll be changing it as
frequently as new ideas come to us or as old ideas are shown
to be wrong or outdated. We're very interested in what you have
to say. E-mail us at

Root Causes
. This Website contains a personal reflection on
the root causes of the crisis in the Catholic Church.  Choose
either a
one-page summary or the entire reflection.

4th of July Call for Essential Catholic Church Reform. On
July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia, a group of courageous men
signed a document that changed world history. They
enunciated principles of basic, God-given human rights,
declared that governments have their right to govern based on
the consent of the governed, listed intolerable grievances
against the King of England, and declared their independence.
Using this great document as a model, we have drafted the
4th
of July Call for Essential Catholic Church Reform and placed it
on the Internet in the form of a
petition. The beginning of the
declaration follows.

The course of recent events compels us to change our
relationship with the authority structure of our church in Rome,
and to assume the equal station to which the Creator calls us.
We declare here the principles and reasons that oblige us to
transform our church, and we outline our vision and timetable
for a church more aligned with Gospel values.

Sign Internet Petition.  Read the entire declaration. Then sign
the petition on the Internet.

about substantive structural
change in the Catholic
Church. To this end, ARCC

Church and a Proposed
Catholic Constitution.
